PODCAST: Sharing the universal experience of grief through personal letters to lost loved ones is the basis of a book in aid of Our Lady’s Hospice.

The book’s editor is Orlaith Carmody. She came up with the idea as a way of giving back after the incredible end-of-life care given to her late husband Kieran. She was tragically left a widow at the age of 28.

In this episode, Orlaith explains how she contacted writers, broadcasters and politicians to ask them to write a personal letter to someone they had lost. The book includes moving letters from Deirdre Purcell, Gloria Hunniford, Mary O’Rourke, Ivan Yates and many others.
